Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our team to work on an NSF funded Environmental Research Data Repository (EnviStor) using agentic AI. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to kickstart their career in data analytics. As a Data Analyst, you will assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide insights that support business decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Assist in gathering and maintaining data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and organization.
- Data Analysis: Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions.
- Reporting & Visualization: Create simple reports and visualizations using tools like Excel or Google Sheets to present data findings to stakeholders.
- Collaboration: Work with team members to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
- Documentation: Keep detailed records of data sources and analysis processes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Familiarity with basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and an interest in learning advanced tools like SQL or Python.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or project experience related to data analysis.
- Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Familiarity with databases or any programming language is a plus.
Soft Skills
- Eagerness to learn and grow in the field of data analytics.
- Analytical mindset with a passion for working with data.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks.
- Team-oriented and good interpersonal skills.
Pay Rate: $20 to $25 per hour based upon experiences, 40 hours per week.
