Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Entry-Level Data Analyst to join our team to work on an NSF funded Environmental Research Data Repository (EnviStor) using agentic AI. This role is ideal for a recent graduate looking to kickstart their career in data analytics. As a Data Analyst, you will assist in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data to provide insights that support business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Data Collection & Management: Assist in gathering and maintaining data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy and organization.
  • Data Analysis: Perform basic data analysis to identify trends and patterns that can inform business decisions.
  • Reporting & Visualization: Create simple reports and visualizations using tools like Excel or Google Sheets to present data findings to stakeholders.
  • Collaboration: Work with team members to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.
  • Documentation: Keep detailed records of data sources and analysis processes.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with basic data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Google Sheets) and an interest in learning advanced tools like SQL or Python.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills to explain data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Internship or project experience related to data analysis.
  • Basic knowledge of data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Familiarity with databases or any programming language is a plus.
